Playa del Amadores.

I could say this beach is nicest beach in Gran Canaria, also newest beach so far I know. Located between Mogan - Puerto Rico. The bad thing of this beach is that to reach this beach not so easy for the people, unless they have their own car, the bush stop some hundred meters to the beach, and there are no hotel or apartment to rent in the beach (sea) side.

Nevertheless this beach is very famous in Gran Canary because this beach really nice to see or to go for swimming, just walking around or lay to get sun shine.

here is the photo;

San Nicolas

San Nicolas is most likely just a village, fisher and farmer village. But this area is very nice, especially for people who like really quite, peaceful and natural, the problem is too windy in this area, especially on summer, and in winter is cooler than Puerto de Mogan.

They have beach also in this area, but not so 'friendly' compare with another beach in Gran Canaria, the apartment renting here is quite cheap, perhaps only half price compare with Puerto de Mogan for the same quality.

What I like most from this area is the farm, cactus farm, you can see this photo;

and here is another view of San Nicolas;

Puero Rico

Puerto Rico is one of most tourist destination in Gran Canaria, especially for English. People like to stay in this area I guess because they can find easy night-live, here many bar or night club, compare with Mogan, Puerto Rico is like 'big' City, some people -especially German tourist- don't like this place because too many people and to crowded, even in the beach.

If you go to Gran Canaria with planing to relaks in your home stay, I recomend you to not choose Puerto Rico, but if you like night live and metropolish atmosphere, then Puerto Rico will suitable your holiday.

This photo bellow is Puerto Rico beach;

and here are another view of Puerto Rico

Bedugul

Bedugul is also nice mountain, here in this mountain you also can fine very nice lake, even they builded nice "Pure" (most likely place where Baliness make their religion's ritual, where they can pray). People also use this nice lake for rekreation, they can go for fishing, play with jet ski , or they also can going around with boat.

If you like paraceiling, you also do your hobby in this place.

Closed by this place you also can get easily bungalo or home stay, some place really cheap but the other very expensive, I recomend you should look around and compare  some place before you decide to stay in one place, especially if you western and you have no guide.

Here are photo of Bedugul

and here is another nice photo of Bedugul;

Kintamani

Still about traveling, another destination in Bali. Actually so many nice place in Bali, what I wrote here (in this blog) is only "few place", still many other, one of them is Kintamani (mount), here in this place you see veri nice lake, named it Batur Lake, you can go for fishing, swimming or use boat to look around the lake.

Also you can find nice home stay or bungalo closed by, and most interesting is, just cross the lake, there is place called it "Truyan", where Baliness people put the dead body just laid under the tree, these came from tradition, they wait until there are enough dead bodies to burn when the time come, mean that the people (the family) have enough money to make ceremony, they call it "Ngaben", literally mean "to burn the dead body".

This is photo of Kintamani.

Even in the night, people still like to enjoy Kuta beach. Around Kuta beach a lof of shop selling art articles, fashion and so on, just beside the beach cross the street there is big restaurant and also big night club, I can say that Kuta is 'never sleep'.

Here are photo of Kuta beach:

Another phot of Kuta beach:

Jimbaran Beach

Jimbaran beach located in the south-west of Denpasar city. Jimbaran beach famous as center of grill fish area, when the sun start going down, the sea-side grill fish restaurant start their business, many tourist or local people going there to get good grill fish, nice view and good price as well, people can choose by them self the fish, fresh fish even some of them still a live.

here are photo of Jimbaran beach:

And here are other view of jimabaran beach:

Nusa Dua

Nusa Dua is nice area with luxury hotel and nice sea view, most business people from Jakarta or other country choose Nusa Dua to stay because the infrastucture and the area is quite new builded compare with Sanur or even with Kuta, many nice art shooping center around the hotel.

("Nusa Dua" literaly mean "Two Islands")

This is photo of Nice pool in Nusa Dua

And here are the other nice photo of Nusa Dua beach

Sanur Beach

Sanur beach located just some kilo meter from Kuta, in the east of Denpasar (Capitol city of Bali), most people going to Sanur beach to see sun rise, many hotels just closed by the beach, also some small homestay. Just in side of the beach there is many restaurants, western restaurant or locak restaurant, also the we can find easy grill fish with see view.

Here are photo os Sanur beach:

And  here are other view of Sanur beach

Lovina Beach

Lovina beach is one of most famous beach in Bali, located in North of Bali, take about 3 hours from Kuta (Denapsar) by car, most people going to Lovina Beach to get quite atmosphere or to see dolphin.

Agaete, an Alaternative Destination

Agaete located in north, therefore there is more cool compare with Puerto de Mogan, but some tourist like to go there for some reason, hiking for example or because there is not so tourisme like Puerto de Mogan, the article bellow I just copy pasted from Wikipedia.

Agaete is a municipality of Las Palmas province, Spain, on the Canary Islands. It is in the northwest of Gran Canaria island (then Grand Canary).

Agaete's area is 45,50 km² with a population of about 5,635 (ISTAC, 2003) and its density is 123.85/km².

Agaete is situated in the mountains and are surrounded by valleys. Farmlands are within the coastline while the mountains lies to the east. Artenara is located WSW of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, N of Puerto Rico and W of Arucas and is linked with a major highway linking Puerto Rico and Arucas. The main industry are agriculture and tourism.

Agaete used to be the preferred city to get a view of El Dedo de Dios, a natural monument on the coastline, before the latter was destroyed during Tropical Storm Delta in November 2005.

in here are photo from part of Agaete;

Puerto de Mogan

Puerto Mogan is about 45 minutes from LPA Airport if we take taxi or car.
The article bellow I just copy and paste from Wikipedia.

Puerto de Mogán is a picturesque resort and fishing village in the municipality of Mogán, set at the mouth of a steep-sided valley on the southwest coast of the island of Gran Canaria and attracts many tourists either to stay or on day-visits. Canal-like channels linking the marina to the fishing harbour have led to it being nicknamed "Little Venice" or the "Venice of the Canaries". Restaurants and bars fringe the marina and the beach front. On a Friday there is a very popular market which brings in tourists from all over the island.

Puerto de Mogán has very few buildings over two storeys high, and the government of Gran Canaria restricts new buildings taller than this.

Puerto de Mogán is linked with the motorway GC1 several kilometres to the east in Puerto Rico by means of a coastal road (GC-500), and is on several bus routes. The mountains almost surround the urban area of the town.

The town is linked to Puerto Rico and Arguineguin by minor ferry routes from its small port, and is also a major stop for ocean going yachts beginning their journey across the Atlantic to the Caribbean. The smaller, mainly single-storey, homes and inaccessible streets are on the northern slopes; the larger inaccessible houses, a forest and a square lie in the northwest; and near the port and more to the northeast. There is a small enclosed beach which has golden sand imported from the Sahara. There are two or three hotels and many holiday apartments available for rent.

here is Pto de Mogan picture; wonderful picture!

Las Palmas

I just copy and paste this article from Wikipedia.
-----------------------

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Spanish pronunciation: [las ˈpalmaz ðe ɣɾaÅ‹ kaˈnaɾja]) commonly known as Las Palmas ([las ˈpalmas]) is the capital (jointly with Santa Cruz) and the most populous city in the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands and the ninth largest city in Spain, with a population of 381,847 in 2009. Nearly half (45.9%) of the people of the island and nearly 1/5 (18.35%) of all inhabitants of the Canary Islands live in this city. It is also the fifth most populous urban area in Spain with a population of around 700,000[1] and (depending on sources) ninth or tenth most populous metropolitan area in Spain with a population of 625,892,[2] 640,000[3] or 741,826.[4] Las Palmas is the largest city of the European Union outside Europe. Located in the northeast of the Spanish island of Gran Canaria, about 150 kilometers (~93 miles) off the northwestern coast of Africa[5] within the Atlantic Ocean.
Las Palmas enjoy a Subtropical climate, with spring-summer like temperatures dominating throughout the year.

The city is home to the Canarian Ministry of Presidency (shared in a 4-year term with Santa Cruz de Tenerife), one half of the ministries and boards of the Canarian Government, (the other half being located in Tenerife), Gran Canaria Provincial Courts and two courts of the Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands.

Amazing Irian Jaya

I believe that many of us have never seen this video before, even when I first watched this video, I still doubt that the way of life in Irian Jaya (aborigin peoples) still exist to this day, they live in the wild with a very simple clothes, even almost naked.

 There are several tribes in Irian Jaya which until now has not known what is the money, aka they entered into transactions with exchange of goods or hunting animals in the jungle, this is really very simple way of life as I know in the history books such 'development of human civilization'.

Have a look this VIDEO

Photo of Irian Jaya people,

Surf the Dream,

I'm not sure, how many times I had this dream, I stare at the sky, I saw a cloud the obvious with some magnificent palaces there, I was stunned because the castle and the clouds were so real in my dreams.
You see this photo bellow, I just 'borow' from Photo Bucket, what this image, just look like this was always came in my dream:

Some people believe that dreams have meaning, but some people consider that dream is dream just the result of subconscious brain, I do not want to position where I must stand up, the dream could be just a 'complementary to sleep' but dreams can also be a sign of nature of something will happen in the future, can be about you, about other or about universe.

 For 'sure' whether our dreams are not meaningless, we must see how the 'shape' of our dream and the extent of our 'lost' in the dream we had. Ofcourse this conviction or this assumption not more from what we call 'superstition'.

Interestingly, for Sigmund Freud, for him, the dream is not just a gesture, let alone something that is not meaningful in life. But the dream is hidden impulse that don't have time to manifest in the real behavior.
This could be due to the norms in the communities where prohibited, or because the situation does not allow these impulses manifested. Thus, the natural impulse is stored in the unconscious person who eventually a time comes in dreamland.

What is clear, for sure, that we able to dream, whether beautiful or strange dream in our sleep is a gift that we must be grateful, there are a few of my friends he was never a dream in their sleep.

regard,

Reog Ponorogo - Giant Mask

Reog Ponorogo is the original art from the region of Ponorogo, East Java Indonesia. Reog Ponorogo actually is form of very large masks and decorated with a variety of bird feathers, most are from peacock's feathers.

The way to wear or to carry this giant mask is by biting a wooden stick inside the mask then propped up by hand, even sometimes they do not use their hands to lift it at all, although the weight of this giant mask is about 50-60 pounds/kilos.

Many mythical stories circulating around the art of the Reog Ponorogo dance, there is a living legend in the community that are still preserved by the local community and even by the state.

Let's see the video of Reog Ponorogo's dance, click HERE
