Reog Ponorogo is the original art from the region of Ponorogo, East Java Indonesia. Reog Ponorogo actually is form of very large masks and decorated with a variety of bird feathers, most are from peacock's feathers.
The way to wear or to carry this giant mask is by biting a wooden stick inside the mask then propped up by hand, even sometimes they do not use their hands to lift it at all, although the weight of this giant mask is about 50-60 pounds/kilos.
Many mythical stories circulating around the art of the Reog Ponorogo dance, there is a living legend in the community that are still preserved by the local community and even by the state.
